Hello King’s Students!
I’m glad you’ve found the “Intermission Blog”. As you can see from the date of Paul’s post, it has been in the making for some time but now that September has come around its official launch is here!
Please take a few moments to read Paul’s post as he usefully discusses the transition King’s Student work has gone through. The sense of transition Paul mentions is likely to remain through my first year leading the student work as I and the new student team seek God on how to move forward. Please bear with us and support us in this... we are trying to serve you well!
I hope this blog is a positive move forward in itself. It replaces the King’s Facebook group and will be the place to find links to useful articles, encouraging stories from within the student body and helpful posts by members of the student team. Practical information will also feature.
In a few weeks I will be posting vision for the student work in a to coincide with the arrival of Freshers. For those of you who can’t wait, the vision is already on the Kings website under “new students”… http://www.kings-norwich.com/?content=NewToUni
I’d ask you to be praying for new students through September and to be really mindful of welcoming them come the 3rd of October. As a student team we can only do so much and it is the welcome from the student body as a whole that will speak most to new students about God-centred, Kingdom community. I’m really excited!
Dan
